Andy’s Story

During the summer of 2020, Andy's life took an unexpected turn when he found himself in the hospital, his right arm broken. However, the fracture turned out to be a mere symptom of a more serious condition. After weeks of tests, biopsies, and confusion, Andy received a diagnosis that would change his life: Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that affects only 1% of adults. It was a challenging road ahead, with major surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments in store.

Despite the uphill battle, Andy had an incredible team of doctors who supported him throughout his first bout with the disease in the spring of 2021. He experienced a period of remission for six months, but unfortunately, the cancer returned and spread. Andy faced the rest of his days with unwavering determination, fighting with every ounce of strength he had. Throughout it all, he maintained a positive attitude and reminded his loved ones that the only way to move forward was to keep pushing ahead.

As time went on, Andy's true character shone brightly. He had a natural kindness that touched the hearts of everyone he met. His infectious smile lifted spirits, and he had a way of making each person feel like the most important person in the room. Andy was the epitome of a best friend, offering unconditional love and support. His radiant presence illuminated the lives of those around him. To honor his remarkable life and the light he brought into the world, YelloWill was born.
